Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through the online store at idakarikoski.fi. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Orders & Payment
All artworks available in the online store are original, one-of-a-kind pieces created by Ida Karikoski. Each painting is unique, and once an artwork has been sold, it will no longer be available for purchase.
All prices are listed in euros (EUR). Payment is processed securely through the payment methods available at checkout. An order is confirmed once payment has been successfully completed.
2. Shipping & Delivery
Free worldwide shipping is included in the price of every artwork.
All artworks are shipped from Finland. Please allow approximately 5 business days for order preparation and careful packaging before your order is dispatched. This is the preparation time and does not represent the estimated delivery time.
Each artwork is packed with care and suitable protective materials to minimise the risk of damage during transit. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive shipping confirmation and tracking information where available.
Delivery times vary depending on the destination and the shipping provider. Please note that international orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
3. Damaged or Lost Shipments
I take great care to package every artwork securely before shipping. However, damage can occasionally occur during transit.
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact me at info@idakarikoski.fi as soon as possible. Please include photographs of the artwork and its packaging so that I can investigate the matter with the shipping provider and arrange an appropriate solution.
If your order appears to have been lost during shipping, please get in touch by email so that the matter can be investigated.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. The seller is responsible for ensuring that the artwork arrives in the agreed condition.
4. Returns & Right of Withdrawal
If you are not happy with your purchase, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the artwork, in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
You do not need to provide a reason for returning an artwork.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify me by email at info@idakarikoski.fi within 14 days of receiving your order. After notifying me, you have a further 14 days to return the artwork.
The buyer is responsible for the return shipping costs. Please ensure that the artwork is carefully and securely packaged for its return. I recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping the shipping receipt.
A refund will be issued within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice. However, I may withhold the refund until the returned artwork has been received or you have provided proof that it has been sent back.
The buyer may be responsible for any diminished value of the artwork resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
These return conditions do not limit your statutory rights if an artwork is faulty or arrives damaged.
5. Custom Commissions
Custom-made artworks created according to a customer's individual specifications may be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal, as permitted by applicable consumer protection legislation.
The details, price and estimated completion time of a commissioned artwork will be agreed upon with the customer before the work begins.
